Launched in Central Pennsylvania, Root for Health provides a locally focused food/service system platform where farmers/producers and service providers are connected with a steady sales stream for their products so that the community may easily access lower cost, healthy food options, and services. Supported by a distribution model that emphasizes economic opportunities through job training and creation, we connect larger institutions with healthy and responsibly sourced options with the support of local individuals in need of career placement.
What We Do
Our program provides a platform for education, community outreach and engagement in support of healthier food consumption. We create greater food stability for local families, while also providing workforce training and employment opportunities as part of a responsible food system model.
