The Root for Health program buys products directly from local farmers, artisan producers and wholesalers and facilitates customer order picking and packing through centralized storage, co-packing and production kitchen operations. We oversee order distribution to host sites and provide workforce training and job opportunities to then execute delivery of foods to regional businesses. Our distribution model is uniquely supplemented with food education training available to the community at no or low cost to increase healthy food wellness awareness and behavior adoption. Closing the food system loop, we then provide resources to farmers in our distribution system for bulk seed buying and equipment sharing support to ensure their financial stability is supported. As the program succeeds, the Root for Health business model may be scaled and expanded into other markets.
